Jon Howard Construction is an established local building company based in Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas specialising in major extensions, conversions & renovations. Directed by Jon and Tom Howard, our family-run business of over 30 years is built on loyalty, commitment and delivering excellence.
Our build process focusses significantly on client communication. From the intital inception, we aim to keep you updated on every stange of the build to help you plan appropriately.

Jon Howard
Founder & Co-Managing Director
With over 30 years of invaluable industry experience, founder, Jon Howard, is an expert in all aspects of domestic construction and carpentry. His expertise and vision is an indispensable asset to JHC which has allowed him to build an excellent reputation for being a consistent and loyal builder.
When not working, you'll most likely find Jon completeing a triathlon, running a marathon or spinning in the gym.
Ruby Lane
Project Coordinator
Ruby Lane brings with her a wealth of Project Coordination experience through her time working within, events, marketing and utility sectors, Ruby uses her experience to help build client relationships through excellent communication and organisation.
During business hours, you'll find Ruby and our COS's (Cheif Of Snacks) Albus and Neville in the office. On a weekend you'll likely find them up a mountian hiking, or strolling along one of the UK's beautiful coasts.
Tom Howard
Co-Managing Director
Our Co-Managing Director Tom Howard first made moves towards a career in the construction industry at the age of 16 when he became an apprentice electrician. Fast forward 15 years and Tom is a qualified and highly experienced electrician and a multi-skilled domestic construction expert.
During the week Tom is a driven and dedicated builder, but the weekends are for family. You'll likely find Tom spending quality time with his young family or off exploring a seaside town.
